Jump or launch on paraglider?

In paragliding or hang gliding, the act of starting the flight is called lauching or taking off. There is no jump, at most a little run so that the “wing” (in the paraglider, the canopy) takes us off the ground. To refer to the practice of the sport, the correct is to say fly – “I flew paragliding this weekend”.
